Chris completed his Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) and Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin) at the University of British Columbia. Chris has a strong background treating clients with musculoskeletal injuries such as mechanical low back pain, rotator cuff pathology, and patellofemoral pain. While he has a passion to broaden his knowledge across all conditions, he is particularly interested in the complexities of persistent low back pain. Chris has completed his Level 1 Orthopedic Certification from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and was a certified personal trainer prior to becoming a physio. After performing a detailed interview and physical assessment, Chris will collaborate with you to create functional goals that are meaningful to you. He will ensure that you clearly understand what might be going on, approximate healing timelines, and the treatment plan. His treatment approach consists of client-specific exercise prescription to address dysfunction, promote recovery, and prevent future injury. He also uses manual therapy and soft tissue techniques to help his clients move and feel better. Growing up playing sports, Chris has experienced his fair share of injuries which has helped him develop an understanding of physical rehabilitation both as a practitioner and a patient. In his free time, Chris plays tennis, badminton, and ultimate frisbee. Chris is a loyal Vancouver Canucks fan, despite their difficulties these past 10 years. He also closely follows the NBA and English Premier League. Chris is able to converse in English and Cantonese.
