I graduated from Idaho State University in 2013 with an associate degree in massage therapy and a bachelor of health science. In 2020, I became a certified personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist with National Academy of Sports Medicine. I combine Swedish, compression, and myofascial release techniques with my knowledge of human movement to restore muscular balance throughout the body. In addition to helping you completely relax, I aim to help you improve your postural control and functional flexibility through restorative bodywork. I work mostly in a medium to firm pressure range, and would not describe my technique as painful or punishing. If you prefer a more aggressive approach, I fully support you in scheduling with a taller therapist who can apply a greater degree of pressure. I also offer buccal massage, a technique applied to the muscles of the face, mouth, and jaw. Great for clients with TMJ issues, chronic clenching, and tension headaches, this method can also help the face look more firm and defined, and can ease the appearance of wrinkles and inflammation. Buccal massage requires at least 20-45 minutes of focused work, and involves applying oil to your face. It is recommended that you do not wear makeup to the appointment. Please specify your interest in buccal or jaw massage in the notes when you request your appointment, so I can prepare for your session.
