Maria grew up in Porters Lake and received a BSc in Biochemistry in 2021 and then completed her MScPT at Dalhousie University in 2023. Maria has volunteered with sports teams in various capacities; as a youth soccer coach and most recently with the NSU15 Major Gulls Hockey Team as their athletic trainer. She has post graduate training in Orthopedic Physiotherapy, Dry Needling, and is a certified Sport First Responder.
