BPHE, M.PT Mikayla graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of Physical and Health Education at Nipissing University in 2019. She then moved to Sydney, Australia to continue her studies at the University of Sydney where she completed her Master’s of Physiotherapy in 2022. While working in both Australia and Canada, Mikayla incorporates a mixture of manual therapy and exercise therapy to individualize her treatments and prioritize patient goals. Mikayla has a passion for helping others and seeing people get back to their activities and everyday lives. Mikayla has experience in helping professional athletes during her time with the Ottawa Senators working as a student therapist while assisting the head therapist and, most recently with the Ottawa Redblacks Football team (CFL). She also had experience working with the Sydney University Rugby Club (Shute Shield, Australia) during her time in Australia. Growing up, Mikayla played many sports including competitive hockey, soccer and dance. She enjoys Pilates, going on hikes, the outdoors and trying new forms of exercise.
