Serena is a Physiotherapist with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy and a lifelong passion for movement, health, and helping people achieve their goals. Before becoming a physiotherapist, she competed as a Division I NCAA athlete and represented Canada on the Women’s National Water Polo Team, experiences that shaped her understanding of performance, injury recovery, and resilience. Serena has experience working with a wide range of clients, from athletes and active adults to individuals recovering from injury, surgery, or life’s everyday physical challenges. She believes in taking the time to understand each person’s unique story and creating treatment plans that are practical, evidence-informed, and tailored to their goals. Her treatment approach combines education, exercise, hands-on therapy, and collaborative problem-solving to help clients move with confidence and return to the activities that matter most to them. Outside of the clinic, Serena enjoys running, tennis, strength training, writing, and playing with her very active toddler.
During your initial assessment, we will review your health history, discuss your symptoms and goals, and perform a comprehensive evaluation of your mobility, strength, posture, and movement patterns to determine the source of your concerns. Based on the assessment findings, a personalised treatment plan will be developed to help reduce pain, restore function, and support your recovery. Treatment may begin during the same visit and can include hands-on soft tissue and joint techniques, therapeutic exercise, dry needling, cupping, TENS or microcurrent therapy, and taping.
