Hey there, my name is Diana. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2021 and shortly after went back to school and graduated from Black Brook School of Massage in 2022 and I am now a LMT. To give you some insight on how I got here I’ll start by saying that I never thought I would have my own business, but I’m grateful to be here! I’ve always been interested in health and wellness, hence why I initially went for Psychology, but it wasn’t until my junior year of college when I started dealing with some acute health issues that I learned what it truly meant to be healthy. I always put a heavy emphasis on working out and eating clean, but I wasn’t always great at checking in with myself mentally although I knew it was important. Well after years of chronic stress and anxiety my body finally had enough and the silent effects of stress suddenly became very loud. I couldn’t focus, I had intense fatigue, I was having gut issues, and my childhood migraines returned. You name it, my body was going through it. After doing research I found that massage was one of the common remedies used for a lot of the issues I was having. I tried a few sessions out and every time I just felt at ease and more energized. Of course, those few sessions didn’t heal me completely, but they sure helped. With the mix of massage, chiropractic care, and lifestyle changes I had a bit of a personal revelation that ultimately sent me on a different career path. I’m now on a mission to help people take preventive steps to deal with stress in a healthy manner so that they don’t have to reap the consequences of the silent killer later on. I aim to be proficient in many modalities, but my main goal is to settle the mind and help reclaim balance in the body so that you-and I- can be well and do well.
Massage
Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure and has a variety of benefits including relaxation, muscle tension relief, improved sleep, as well as being a natural mood booster. If you're needing to decompress from daily stress this would be recommended for you.
Lymphatic Drainage
This medically-focused massage modality helps with body detoxification and post-op inflammation. If you've recently had surgery and are experiencing skin tautness, normal post-op swelling, or water retention then this would be a good option for you. If you are experiencing symptoms of cellular waste back up such as: fatigue, puffiness, congestion, skin issues, and constipation then MLD would also be a good pick for you.
