Maya earned her Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine as part of a lifelong interest in holistic wellness and community care. She trained at Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, California, and has spent clinical hours at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, Charlotte Maxwell Clinic for Integrative Cancer Care, Benicia Community Acupuncture, and in her own practice. Maya’s passion is accompanying her patients towards greater ease and a higher quality of life, less burdened by physical pain and mental health challenges. She’s a wholehearted generalist, with a particular interest in treating mental health and autoimmune disorders. Maya is board certified in the state of Massachusetts and in the state of California, as well as by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
This is a first-time acupuncture appointment for patients seeking relief from pain, anxiety, depression, digestive issues, asthma/allergies, women’s health conditions (such as fertility support and peri-menopause symptoms). Acupuncture can also be used for several other medical conditions such as supporting immunity and general overall well-being. Some health insurance plans do cover acupuncture treatments. Please discuss with our office to confirm your health insurance plan's specific coverage. An initial acupuncture consult and acupuncture treatment will last about 60-75 mins in length.
