Kenichi Karasawa is a Registered Massage Therapist at Park Royal in Vancouver. Ken graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in British Columbia and has experience treating a wide range of injuries and conditions. His clinical experience includes tendonitis, sprains and strains, motor vehicle and sports-related injuries, as well as scar tissue management; resulting from surgery, injury, and cancer treatment as well as conditions affecting the central and peripheral nervous systems. His practice focus is on acute injuries and post-injury or post-surgical recovery, with a particular interest in scar tissue management. To further support his clients and expand his clinical skills, Ken has completed additional training in Scar Tissue Management, Manual Lymphatic Drainage - Level 1, Clinical Taping, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), Run Assessment, Concussion Management, and TMJ management. Ken believes that effective treatment starts with understanding the individual behind the injury and surgery. He takes the time to listen to each client’s concerns, understand their goals, and conduct a thorough assessment before developing a personalized treatment plan. His approach is focused on supporting recovery, improving movement, and helping clients return to the activities they enjoy. In addition to his clinical practice, Ken is an instructor/supervisor at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, where he enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with future RMTs. Teaching gives him the opportunity to give back to the profession while contributing to the education and development of the next generation of massage therapists. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, navigating post-surgical recovery, managing ongoing discomfort, or simply looking to move and feel your best, Ken takes a thoughtful and individualized approach to care. His goal is to work alongside each client to develop a treatment plan that supports their recovery and helps them get back to doing what they love.
