Zen is a Registered Physiotherapist and a Certified Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner. With more than 25 years of experience, she has dedicated herself to delivering direct patient care and has contributed significantly to the education and mentorship of Physiotherapy students. She is committed to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice to ensure patients receive the latest and most effective treatments available. Zen completed her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1998 in the Philippines. She began her career in Physiotherapy in her home country, with a focus on teaching, mentorship and direct patient care. In 2003, she moved to Canada to further her education and continue her career in Physiotherapy. Zen has been providing services in the Oshawa area for over 14 years, operating within a multidisciplinary practice alongside physicians, specialists, and other allied health professionals. Her areas of expertise include musculoskeletal rehabilitation, sports injury rehabilitation, pre/post orthopedic surgery rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, and post-concussion assessment and management. Additionally, she holds certifications as a GLA:D therapist for individuals with hip and knee osteoarthritis, as a Bonefit specialist for those diagnosed with osteoporosis, and as an Acupuncture and Dry Needling Provider. Throughout her career, she consistently demonstrates both respect and compassion towards her patients, while maintaining a professional relationship and ensuring the provision of excellent care. In her personal time, Zen engages in church and outdoor activities, enjoys gardening, cooking healthy meals, and values quality time with her husband and two children.
Our Registered Physiotherapy will assess and provide appropriate treatment for injuries/pain not caused by a Workplace injury or Motor Vehicle Accident.
