Alina is our newest Physiotherapist Intern. Having recently completed the Master of Science in Physical Therapy program at the University of Alberta, Alina is excited to return home to Canmore and support the health and well-being of her local community. Alina enjoys working with people of all ages and activity levels to help them continue participating in the activities that matter most to them throughout their lives. She takes a client-centred approach to care, with treatment that includes education, individualized exercise and activity programs, and manual therapy techniques, among other tools, to support recovery and help manage symptoms. She has experience working with adaptive exercise programs and enjoys helping people find creative, accessible ways to stay active. Alina has a particular interest in running-related injuries and supporting runners of all stages, from return to activity through long-term injury prevention. Outside of the clinic, she is a lifelong climber and also enjoys running and cycling, which shapes her appreciation for movement and active living. Though in the winter, you’ll find her making the most of the ice to climb and the snow to ski. Overall, Alina is passionate about supporting movement in ways that feel good, align with individuals’ goals, and improve quality of life and is looking forward to seeing you in the clinic!
