Emily is a Physiotherapist and Strength & Conditioning Specialist passionate on empowering her patients to achieve their goals. She has earned a Master of Science in Physiotherapy (MScPT) from Dalhousie University. Prior to this, she graduated with a Masters of Kinesiology (MKin) and Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin) from the University of British Columbia. Emily has also completed training in Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Titleist Performance Institute Medical Level 2 (TPI M2), and is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She has consulted with various university and professional sports teams at national and professional levels, including teams and athletes in the NHL, MLB, PGA, CFL, and Olympics. Emily embraces education and has been learning from mentorships with MLB Physiotherapists, NHL Medical Staff, and Upper Extremity Orthopaedic Surgery clinics in Vancouver. Additionally, she has achieved Level 2 Orthopedic Manual Therapy with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Orthopaedic Division. She is continuing advanced education in manual therapy to supplement her clinical skills with a special interest in high performance and upper extremity sports, such as golf, baseball, and hockey. From a personal standpoint, she engaged in a wide variety of certifications. She has coached competitive and leisure sailing and was a Taekwondo instructor as a black belt. Emily is a die-hard Vancouver Canucks fan! She spends much of her available time practicing her pitching skills, golfing in the backyard with her dogs Timber & Willow. Emily looks forward to working with individuals to improve their lifestyle functioning after illness or injury, and those who wish to maximize their performance in sport.

Initial Assessment - Chronic/Complex Condition

This is session is best suited for persistent/ recurring injuries of 3 months or more. This is session is so much more than just an injury review. This is a life inventory. It is a process in co-creation where we work together to figure out what got you to this point and what it will take to get you back to independence.
