I began my career in bodywork in 1993 through Phillips School of Massage in Nevada City, CA and in addition, acquired my Colorado Massage Therapy License and Certificate of Neuromuscular Therapy through CIMT Colorado Springs in 2010. Since that time, I have worked alongside chiropractors and physical therapists and have maintained a private practice. Holding additional certifications in LOKTE method (connective tissue release), advanced myofascial release, stone therapy, and yoga teaching training through Core Power Yoga, I am able to customize treatments for each client, consisting of a blend of modalities that incorporates Swedish, Neuromuscular and Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Sports, Facilitated Stretching, and Hot Stone.
Massage
Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. For prenatal massage, a side-lying position is generally recommended after the first trimester (around 12 weeks of pregnancy) to reduce pressure on the uterus and promote comfort.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymph Drainage uses gentle rhythmic pumping techniques to stimulate the lymphatic vessels to carry vital immune system fluid through the body, and remove waste. It helps the body to heal quickly from injuries, surgical trauma, and edema. This modality renews and detoxifies the body.
