Dr. Erin Dashney’s venture into healthcare began with a love for fitness and nutrition. She followed this passion by obtaining a diploma in Fitness and Lifestyle Management from George Brown College. During this time, she became certified as a personal trainer through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP) and as a group exercise class leader through the Ontario Fitness Council (OFC). While working as a personal trainer, Dr. Dashney developed a passion for assisting clients to overcome injuries. She decided that chiropractic was the perfect means with which to encourage others to live healthier and more active lives, while helping them manage pain and injury. She entered into a bachelor of science in Kinesiology program at the University of Guelph-Humber before obtaining her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She graduated with summa cum laude distinction and was the recipient of awards for academic excellence and clinical proficiency. Dr. Dashney considers herself a lifelong learner and recognizes the importance of advancing her skills as a practitioner. She is certified as a Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Provider through McMaster University and is also certified in Active Release Technique (ART). Additionally, Dr. Dashney has attended several workshops through the Motion Palpation Institute in order to enhance her skills in joint mobilization, joint manipulation, and rehabilitative exercise prescription. She offers her patients an evidence-informed and holistic approach, which she tailors to suit the unique needs of each patient.
