Jean-Francois (JF) Esculier graduated from the University of Ottawa’s physiotherapy program in 2009. Since then, he has been treating runners of all levels (recreational to professional and Olympic athletes) and people with a variety of sports injuries. Being a clinician-researcher-educator and a runner helps him to provide the best care possible based on the latest science. JF completed his Masters, PhD and post-doctoral fellowship on knee pain in runners, and obtained his Certificate of Sport Physiotherapy from Sport Physiotherapy Canada. His special interest areas include knee pain (patellofemoral pain, knee osteoarthritis), foot/ankle/leg pain, running biomechanics and running footwear. JF is also teaching as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia, as well as through The Running Clinic since 2011. JF has published over 70 research articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is frequently invited to teach and provide lectures at scientific conferences around the world.
