Michelle specializes in supporting individuals living with chronic pain and complex health conditions, offering a compassionate and personalized approach to care. Her practice welcomes clients of all ages and backgrounds, with a focus on fostering lasting well-being and resilience. Before becoming a massage therapist, Michelle worked as a professional large group facilitator, guiding teams of up to 30 people to design practical solutions for complex challenges. Her career, however, took an unexpected turn in 2003 when health challenges disrupted her path. Determined to rebuild her own well-being, she turned to massage therapy, therapeutic movement, fitness training, and meditation as tools for recovery. The transformative impact of these practices inspired Michelle to pursue formal training in the healing arts. She earned her degree in Remedial Massage Therapy from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon, British Columbia. To deepen her ability to guide others on their wellness journeys, Michelle also became a certified yoga teacher and meditation instructor. Committed to lifelong learning, Michelle consistently exceeds the continuing education requirements set by the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta (MTAA). Her post-graduate training includes advanced orthopedic massage, myofascial release, deep tissue techniques, hot stone massage, and approaches tailored to creating a safe, supportive treatment environment. She has also completed specialized training to support clients dealing with anxiety, sleep disorders, chronic pain, and central sensitization syndromes. Michelle’s holistic and empathetic approach blends extensive training with genuine care to empower her clients in achieving their wellness goals. When she’s not working with clients, Michelle finds joy and balance in outdoor pursuits like cycling and hiking. She also enjoys drawing, painting, and exploring nature—activities that nurture her creativity and connection to the world around her.
