Toronto based registered physiotherapist and combined decongestive therapist (CDT) who provides cancer care rehabilitation for all stages and cancer disease sites through education, exercise prescription, manual lymphatic drainage massage and compression therapy. Also provides lymphedema and lipedema management as well as lymphatic therapy for the general population for issues related to tissue congestion, swelling/edema, inflammation and to support general health and wellness. A preventative care approach is employed using education and techniques to help prevent and/or manage many of the common side effects related to cancer and its treatment. The goal is to set you up for the best possible outcomes throughout your cancer journey and survivorship. Joanna was born and raised in Toronto. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at McGill University followed by a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at Western University. For over 7 years she worked at Sunnybrook Hospital, primarily with the post-surgical cancer population and was the physiotherapist for the breast cancer centre. In 2020, she moved to Vancouver where she completed her training to become a CDT through the Dr. Vodder international school, and eventually opened Lymphysio to help supplement and fill the gaps in care of the public health system. As of April 2025, Joanna has returned to Toronto to support her hometown clients.

Home visit for any of the in clinic appointments/treatment options available, depending on the area. Client must have own treatment table (or suitable alternative) available for therapist to use. Therapist will provide linens and pillows if needed. Must contact therapist directly first to make arrangements.
