In 2009 after graduating from the University of Ottawa in Health Sciences Human Kinetics I took a year off to work as a physiotherapist assistant only to discover my love for the field of physiotherapy. It was the following year where I completed my 2 year Masters program at the University of Ottawa in 2011. Since graduating in 2011, I have worked in 2 multidisciplinary clinics which has allowed me to gain experience in working with a wide range of injuries from individuals involved in motor vehicle accidents to sport related injuries and the “i don’t know what caused it” type injuries. Furthermore, in 2014, I became credentialed in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy(MDT) or the “McKenzie method” which is a movement based assessment and treatment method which enables you to understand how to self-treat and prevent the pain from returning! I strive on the ability to help you return to the “old you” by offering one-on-one (with the physio ONLY!) physiotherapy assessments and treatments through extended appointment times. My postgraduate coursework includes the following: Level 1 AA1: Foundations of anatomical Acupuncture 2012 McKenzie Part A: The Lumbar Spine 2012 McKenzie Part B: The Cervical & Thoracic Spine 2012 McKenzie Part C: Advanced Lumbar Spine & Extremities – Lower Limb 2013 McKenzie Part D: Advanced Cervical/Thoracic Spine & Extremities – Upper Limb 2013 MDT Clinical Skills Update Symposium: Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy 2014 McKenzie Institute Canada Credentialing Examination 2015 McKenzie Part E: Human Extremities 2015 SFMA Select Functional Movement System 2015 McKenzie Part E: Human Extremities (Audit) 2016 APTEI Advanced Upper Extremity Complex Certification Program 2016 Mulligan Upper Quadrant 2016 In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family/friends, working out and of course keeping busy with my crazy and energetic Boxer pupp, Ari!
