Anand Ondhia came to osteopathy the way a lot of people do – because his own body needed help. Years of training in karate, yoga, muay thai and eventually jiu-jitsu left him with injuries that standard approaches couldn’t seem to fix. He tried a lot of things. Some helped a little. Most didn’t last. It wasn’t until he found osteopathy that things started to make sense – not just for the injuries, but for understanding why they kept happening in the first place. So he went back to school and graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. These days, Anand treats the whole person, not just the sore spot. His approach looks at how structure and function affect each other, and how the body’s natural ability to heal can be supported rather than overridden. He is specially trained in craniosacral therapy and to work with pediatric patients – babies, toddlers and teens. That work requires a different touch and a different kind of attention, which he’s developed over years of practice. Anand is also a longtime yoga teacher and trains other yoga teachers. He is a teaching and competing black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. These movement backgrounds give him a practical feel for how bodies respond to training, competition, and just staying active over time. That insight serves all his patients, not just athletes. He works with people managing chronic pain, recovering from injuries, dealing with postural issues, or simply wanting to move through life with less limitation.
