Dr. Caitlin, or “Dr. C” as her patients affectionately call her, grew up an athlete in the Chicago area. She played softball for 12 years before suffering a shoulder injury that ended her career. From a young age, Dr. C knew she wanted to pursue an occupation in healthcare. Her passion for helping people + her fascination of the human body + her love of sports all collided to lead her down the path to becoming a sports chiropractor. Prior to starting chiropractic school, Dr. C worked as a personal trainer. Just before that, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Spanish from the University of Illinois—Urbana-Champaign. During chiropractic school at Palmer, Dr. C completed extracurricular coursework in the extremities (feet, knees, hips, wrists, shoulders, etc.), soft tissues, rehabilitation, and elastic taping. Following graduation, she became certified in all three levels of NeuroKinetic Therapy. She utilizes her unique array of skillsets to approach diagnosis and treatment from various perspectives. When she is not working, Dr. C enjoys traveling, Latin dancing, Pilates, Zumba, biking, and spending time with friends and family. She resides in Palm Harbor with her husband, Peter, and their two pups, Milo & Luna.
Welcome! Here at Kinetic Chiropractic, we address the joints AND the muscles. Your initial visit will begin with a comprehensive health history review and biomechanics-based movement assessment. Then, using the NeuroKinetic Therapy protocol, a series of muscle tests will be performed to determine which muscles are overworking and which muscles are underworking. The initial corrective treatment will be administered during your appointment, inclusive of soft tissue work (myofascial release), corrective exercises, and chiropractic adjustments if desired. Then, you will be provided specific exercises to do at home so we can fully resolve the imbalances that were uncovered during your appointment. Let's get you back to functioning at 100%!
