He holds dual Chiropractic Fellowships in both Sports Sciences and Orthopedics meaning he has an additional six years of post-graduate training, and extensive experience with complicated injury and sports injury. Clarks ongoing sports experience has a distinct Action-Sports direction with professional mountain bike events such as Crankworx in Whistler, plus slopestyle skiing all over the world with the Canadian Olympic Slopestyle Skiing team. He has participated as a sports chiropractor multiple times at the X-Games, Dew-Tour and numerous World Championships from Curling, BMX to Wheelchair Rugby, the Pan-American Games, as well as the 2010 Vancouver and 2014 Sochi, Russia Winter Olympic Games. Young at heart and down to earth, Clark balances his professional life by enjoying home in Victoria BC, where he was raised and has lived for four decades. Dr. Konczak is experienced and is specifically trained in the assessment, diagnosis and management of sports and non-sports injuries involving the spine as well as hips, knees, feet, arms, shoulders and headaches. With his comprehensive and knowledgeable approach, Dr. Konczak is happy to provide chiropractic treatment and soft-tissue work. Treatment can include: instrument assisted treatments, activator, graston, drop table, kinesio-taping, myofascial release, cold-laser, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, orthotics and custom bracing. He takes the time to explain your problems, involving you in the decision process, recommending the best course of treatment and working side-by-side with all your other health practitioners to get the best results possible. Treatment with Clark for acute injury to muscles, nerves and joints of longer duration that allows for treatment of multiple areas, multiple treatment techniques and rehabilitation. Sports Specific or Orthopedic Specific Comprehensive Assessment/ Treatment. Assessment of motor imbalance and dysfunction, and factors that affect mobility, function and performance. Includes time for appropriate paperwork and referrals. May be used for an initial visit when appropriate. 15-30 minutes $150, 60 minutes $300.
