2024 Full Body SMRT Therapist 2025 CranioSacral Practitioner CST1 CST2 My work experience has been in both chiropractic offices and spa facilities where clients come in for selfcare, pain relief, rehabilitation, and relaxation from the stresses of life. It has been a blessing joining the staff here at Body Balance. It is said that "iron sharpens iron", I believe that my coworkers and I make each other better at our craft because we work so closely together and can share our knowledge. Each year we are required by our state for our licensure to continue our education in modalities of our choice. My classes have included: *Chronic pain relief for the neck & shoulders *Proper protocol for pregnancy & postpartum massage *Lymphatic drainage for the neck & face *Thai table massage *Therapeutic massage training with ROLMT that focused on cranial sacral therapy & direct/indirect techniques; which is a hybrid combination of myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy & deep tissue massage. *Simultaneous Muscle Release Techniques (SMRT) for the extremities, upper back & shoulder, low back/abdomen & hips, and head & neck. "SMRT is a positional release modality used by bodyworkers to easefully and naturally prompt the client's body to regain homeostasis. In its simplest form SMRT uses passive contraction or shortening of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissue to speak directly to the proprioceptors within these structures. The holds can last 20-45 seconds. If the communication between the therapist and the proprioceptors is clear and easeful, the client's tissue responds by moving toward its most comfortable, balanced state"(Full Circle). *And my favorite, CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY!! CST1 CST2 Craniosacral Therapy is a light-touch, fully clothed approach that can create dramatic improvements in your life. It releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction, and improve whole-body health and performance. CST targets the central nervous system to free restrictions in your tissues so the entire body can relax and self-correct. CST involves facilitation or enhancing the body's own natural capacity to heal when trauma or disease processes become overwhelming for the system. I recommend alternating CST into your massage therapy sessions occasionally, depending on your individual needs. I prefer a little more time with your initial visit to be thorough, so come in for the 75 minute session, first. The 60 minute session is fine for recurring and follow-up sessions. CST sessions are held in our beautiful serene massage rooms on the heated tables. You stay dressed but please wear comfortable loose clothing. What you experience from your own session is highly individual. The sessions are generally deeply relaxing, creating feelings of warmth or gentle pulsing in the area I am working on. My CST sessions are not incorporated into my massage sessions. When doing massage I utilize the modalities I've learned over time to best accommodate your wellness needs when on my table. So, How can I help you today? Massage or Craniosacral Therapy? Pain management? Relaxation? Headaches? TMJ Syndrome? Fibromyalgia? Chronic Fatique? Immune disorders? Stress & Tension disorders? Post concussion symptoms? I look forward to working with you on your wellness journey. Warmly, Jenny
