Stefan completed his Bachelor of Human Kinetics at UBC (2003) and his Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland, Australia (2008). He holds the FCAMPT designation — the Fellowship of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy — the highest level of manual therapy certification in Canada. His clinical experience includes working as a volunteer physiotherapist at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games at Canada Hockey Place, serving in the Cirque du Soleil Performance Medicine Department in Montreal, and providing varsity athletic rehabilitation at UBC and Capilano University for hockey, soccer, volleyball, and basketball programs. Stefan’s treatment philosophy centres on four pillars: comprehensive assessment, patient education, hands-on treatment, and personalized home exercise programs. He believes our bodies — like our personalities — are highly individualized, and that effective treatment must reflect that. He is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Professional and Pilates Certified, and has particular expertise in shoulders, knees, neck, low back, headaches, sciatica, and post-concussive syndrome. Outside the clinic, Stefan is an avid cyclist, snowboarder, and 40-year hockey player who runs community concussion education seminars.
