Originally from Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Dr. Tristyn Kjorlien developed a passion for health and performance through years of competitive ice hockey. Working with skilled coaches, trainers, and healthcare professionals throughout his athletic career sparked his interest in physical medicine and ultimately led him to pursue a career helping others move and perform at their best. Dr. Kjorlien began working as a personal trainer at 18 years old before completing a Bachelor of Human Kinetics with a focus in Exercise Physiology at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. He later earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. His treatment approach combines evidence-informed manual therapy, rehabilitation, and strength and conditioning principles to help patients recover from injury, reduce pain, and return to the activities they enjoy. He works with a wide range of individuals, from competitive athletes to active adults looking to move better and perform with confidence. Dr. Kjorlien has a particular interest in sports rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery, and return-to-sport programming. His treatment plans may incorporate hands-on therapy, movement assessment, exercise prescription, and performance-focused rehabilitation strategies. Outside the clinic, you’ll find Tristyn trail running, hiking, golfing, and exploring Vancouver with his Golden Retriever, Dewey. He can also frequently be found searching for the city’s best espresso.
