John is a graduate of Sutherland-Chan School of Massage and has been working as a therapist for 20 years. During his time in the field, he has gained a deepened experience in understanding lower back pain and pelvic alignment by working extensively with active clients and athletes in gait-related activities. In addition to the Swedish massage learned during school, he also learned deeper, fascial approaches from Tom Myer’s courses which can help augment the treatment session and help clients achieve long term results. John has been able to successfully use this joint approach to help many athletes over the years. Currently, John specializes in working with the “Conductor” of the body, the nervous system and the gut. Subtle treatment of the nervous system and organs may help underlying conditions such as back pain to IBS to endometriosis. This precise approach was developed by the Barral Institute where John has taken courses for over a decade. In his spare time John enjoys doing qigong, hiking on the Bruce Trail and window shopping Toronto’s wonderful, independent businesses.

Massage Therapy improves physical and emotional health by assessing and manually treating the soft tissues of the body. It is most effective for treating injuries, muscular tension, reducing stress, and improving local or systemic circulation.
