Dr. Dixon grew up in North Vancouver BC where she enjoyed played high level soccer and basketball. After ultimately siding with basketball, Dr. Dixon moved to Kingston, Ontario where she played Varsity Basketball at Queen’s University and graduated with a BSc Honours in Kinesiology. She then attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, ON and graduated at the top of her class, Summa Cum Laude. She is trained in manual adjusting, myofascial release therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), athletic taping and exercise therapy. As a high-level athlete her whole life, Dr. Dixon understands the demands of sport and the importance of injury rehabilitation and preventative care. She is passionate about treating athletes and active people of all ages and abilities. After a comprehensive history followed by a biomedical and functional assessment directed to find the cause of the pain, Dr. Dixon will create an individualized treatment plan that may incorporate manual care and/or progressive strength and mobility exercises. The Workshop Performance is a team environment and Dr. Dixon is fortunate to work with other skilled health care providers to create the most effective treatment plan for each patient. During the summers of her chiropractic schooling, she worked as the trainer of the U15 and U17 Girls Basketball BC Provincial Basketball teams. She is passionate about continuing to work with sports organizations in the community. She still enjoys playing basketball, but you can also find her road biking, running, rock climbing, hiking and skiing when she is not treating patients.
