1216 Granite Dr, Squamish, BC, V8B 0V9

I moved to the Sea to Sky corridor in 1994 and fell in love with the people and the place. My love of the outdoors inevitably led to physiotherapy, chiropractic and massage appointments, so, I decided the other side of the treatment table would make for an interesting career. I graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2003. My approach to Massage Therapy focuses on the mind-body connection and creating a therapeutic relationship with my patients which allows, through use of manual therapy, the re-education of the nervous system to create change, reduce pain and restore ease. My years practicing massage therapy have been filled with patients of all ages who value massage for injury treatment, pre/post surgical treatment, postural reeducation, pain relief, stress relief and to combat the physical effects of their jobs, sports, activities and pregnancies. Many years of clinical practice have allowed my therapeutic approach to grow and evolve and I have gained experience treating patients with spinal and cerebral injuries/illness, those in long term care facilities and women with high-risk pregnancies. I have have had incredible experiences working with athletes, specifically the Vancouver Canucks, UBC varsity athletes and at the 2003 World Weight Lifting Championships. I love to learn. This passion has guided me to take courses in myofascial release, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, Biofield Tuning, Traditional Thai Massage, Ligamentous Articular Strain Technique, yoga therapy, energetic grounding, Reiki, Ohm Therapeutics and Anatomy Trains and movement. I am very passionate about yoga and have an active yoga practice. I also have experience as a personal trainer and in pre & post natal fitness. I have personal experience in both competitive and non-competitive sport, specifically alpine and nordic skiing, ski touring, equestrian sport, mountain biking and road riding, triathlon, distance running and hiking. When not at work I can be found on the trails, here in Squamish, with my family, friends and dog. Seeing a Registered Massage Therapist is an effect way to treat and/or manage: Physical pain and muscle tension, Myofascial Pain Syndrome, Rotator Cuff Syndrome, Sciatica, Tennis Elbow, Frozen Shoulder, Muscle sprains and strains, Anxiety, Insomnia, Headaches & Migraines, Osteoarthritis & Rheumatoid Arthritis, Carpal Tunnel, Cancer, Post surgery conditions, Hypertension, Asthma & Bronchitis, Fibromyalgia, TMJD, Whiplash, Stoke, Plantar Fasciitis, MS and Concussion.
