Maxwell Lynch
Align Cayman
Max grew up in New Zealand and graduated from the University of Otago with a double degree in Physiotherapy and Physical Education and Sports Science. His studies built a solid foundation in evidence-based rehabilitation, movement science, biomechanics and exercise prescription that still shapes how he helps patients reach their health goals. He started his career in private practice in Wellington, where he spent four years treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. During that time Max completed postgraduate training in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and became an internationally credentialled McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment therapist. These qualifications sharpened his assessment, hands-on treatment and rehabilitation skills. For the past two years he has been based in Edinburgh, Scotland. There he added acupuncture and dry needling to his toolkit while working with patients from both hemispheres. This experience strengthened his ability to manage both acute and persistent conditions through a blend of manual therapy, education, exercise and evidence-based approaches. He is currently completing further studies in Hand Therapy to keep expanding the care he can offer. Max is passionate about helping people move better, recover well and hit their health and performance targets. He treats every patient as an individual and builds tailored, holistic plans that fit their lifestyle and aspirations. Whether you are recovering from an injury, dealing with ongoing pain, returning to sport or simply wanting to move with more ease and confidence, he focuses on practical, effective care that lasts. Exercise and sport have always been central to his life. He competed in swimming, distance running and high-level football as a youngster. These days you’ll most likely find him in the gym, on the golf course, playing cricket or out for a run. He loves encouraging others to experience how movement and exercise can improve both physical and mental wellbeing. After two chilly years in Edinburgh, Max is excited to join the Cayman Islands community. He looks forward to working with people of all ages and abilities to help them stay active, move confidently and achieve their personal health and wellness goals.
