With 15 years of experience in private practice focusing on sports injuries and spine-related complaints, Dr. Melander and his facilities have been honored 4 times as the best in Boston, MA. Dr. Melander believes that above all else his responsibility to his patients is to foster a sense of resiliency and independence relative to their pain/injury. Dr. Melander seeks to realize these goals with his patients via a combination of pain education, strength/mobility programming, and hands-on manual therapy. Dr. Melander has treated elite, professional, and Olympic athletes, as well as multiple professional performing artists, countless office professionals, pregnant women, elderly, and youth populations. Dr. Melander is an instructor with Active Release Techniques in the United States and Canada, and he is an avid advocate and coach of the Functional Range Systems mobility-training platform. Dr. Melander is a resident of the north shore region of Massachusetts with his wife Kellie and their two children. When he isn’t working or with his family, Dr. Melander is surfing, skiing, exercising, or watching Boston sports.

New Patient Examination
