Maya is passionate about helping people stay active, adventurous, and injury-free—whether they’re training for their next race or just navigating everyday life. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana in 2014 after completing a BA in Exercise Science at Willamette University, where she competed in cross country and track. Since then, she’s worked with a wide range of patients at PT Northwest in both Northeast and West Salem. Maya is Astym certified and board-certified in orthopedics (OCS), with a special interest in treating runners and endurance athletes. Outside the clinic, Maya still runs regularly—currently focusing on 5Ks and 10Ks—and sneaks in trail runs when she can. She stays busy keeping up with her two kids and enjoys baking, cooking, reading, swimming, and working in her garden.
