Kalie recently graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy, completing the diploma program in 2023. Her journey into exploring manual therapies began early in her adult life after having experienced a bad motor vehicle accident which altered her path considerably. Feeling frustrated and unheard she opted to explore Massage Therapy as a tool to get back to sport and to support her career as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. This proved to be a game changer and she has been an advocate for the profession ever since. Fast forward to 2021 when an impending layoff to a 17-year career occurred, rather than panic, she decided to explore her options and started listening to that little voice telling her it was time for change. Kalie graduated with honors from OVCMT in November and is passionate about providing an empathetic and open space for healing to all demographics. Her treatment styles will include General Swedish Massage, Myofascial release, and active therapies such as Post Isometric Relaxation techniques. Her areas of special interest include women’s health, TMJ, scars, and whiplash. In her spare time, you can find her playing baseball, at the pool or exploring the backcountry with her dog Roo.
Massage therapy entails manipulating soft tissues to stimulate healing by using pressure, movement, and various techniques on muscles and systems such as circulatory and nervous systems.
