Stephanie Reischl is a physiotherapist and registered massage therapist. With 13 years of post-secondary education, she has engaged in multiple disciplines that give her a unique perspective on how the body works. She completed a Bachelor degree in Neuroscience and Master of Applied Health Sciences in Kinesiology at Brock finishing top in her class. In 2019 she started at the Ontario College of Health and Technology where she received a Diploma in Massage Therapy. She has worked clinically as a RMT since 2021. In 2019 she also started a combined program at Western University to complete her Master of Physical Therapy and PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences simultaneously. She completed her licensing and started working as a physio in 2024 while wrapping up her PhD. Her research focused on early intervention strategies for wrist fractures that start during the casting period, rather than waiting until impairments from disuse develop from the casting. The aim of this research is to provide treatment options to optimize outcomes after wrist fractures and facilitate recovery. She has experience treating a multitude of musculoskeletal conditions in acute stages (including post-operative neck, shoulder, back, hip and knee conditions) and chronic stages of injury. She integrates hands on techniques, education, and exercise programs to optimize outcomes and prevent future impairments. Her goal with treatment is to help get patients to a point they can be self sustaining with the management of their symptoms and ultimately have complete resolution of their symptoms to improve their quality of life.
Massage Therapy
The 60-min sessions involves manual therapy (hands on treatment) and an individualized home program (accessed through an app or PDF as desired). The 60 min session is recommended for 2+ areas of interest or by recommendation of the therapist for the depth of work required. Treatment is performed with patients dressed in a sport bra/tank and shorts.
Physiotherapy
The initial assessment involves providing a health history, a functional assessment, manual therapy (hands on treatment), and an individualized home program (accessed through an app or PDF as desired). Initial assessments are for first time patients or re-evaluation of existing patients if a new area of concern is addressed or with a substantial gap between treatments (~6+ months).
