Im a licensed practitioner of Five Element Acupuncture incorporating flower essences, essential oils, chinese herbs and wellness coaching for 25 years. With diverse experience in private practice, drug recovery, prison system settings and educational contexts, I understand the profound relationship between personal and family health, institutional environments, and community wellbeing. My passion is to support all ages to heal and understand the body, mind and emotions and create more ease, less pain, increased balance and integration. Born in Texas, I was a primary caretaker in my family, leading me to study Psychology. Rising out of a deep desire to decrease suffering, I worked in the nonprofit sector for 13 years when I decided to study acupuncture as a direct path to wholeness. We are all growing into our whole selves, from birth to death, and Id love to provide support on your journey. The tools I offer include traditional and non-insertion acupuncture, gua sha, essential oils, flower essences, education on how the 5 elements show up in your life, chinese herbs, health coaching and EFT. I have a speciality supporting nuero diverse individuals. Some of my joyous community roles include creating Partnerships in Healing (free and affordable care), creating a hospice acupuncture protocol, receiving an Innovator Award with CityBridge Design to envision equity-centered solutions for health/educational outcomes, Acupuncturists Without Borders member and co-owner of the Spectrum Center for Natural Medicine for 14 years. Im also a mother and a lay pastor for 30 years in my local community of Washington, DC.
