My name is Melissa Dunn, I am a Scarborough based mom and a licensed Massage Therapist, a Polarity Therapist, and I am level 1 Reiki Practitioner. I have been interested and self studying in bodywork and energy systems of the body long before I became a therapist. I truly feel that the energy work I bring into a massage gives the clients an elevated relaxing treatment. I am actively involved in continuing education and my most recent certification is in Gua Sha. I have spent 2 working seasons working at the Tree Spa in Kennebunkport for anyone who has been lucky enough to receive a treatment there. When I am not massaging or doing energy work, I spend my time at home with my family and training my small team of Siberian sled dogs.
Massage Therapy
Smooth stones are heated and then lubricated with oil or essential oils, the therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapists hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.Session will use warm Himalayan Salt Stones.
