He has gone on to specialize in orthopaedics completing a Certificate of Intermediate Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2000, a Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2001 and a Certificate of Gunn IMS, Intramuscular Stimulation (CGIMS) in 2008. Paul McIntyre opened Broadmead Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Clinic in 2002. Their philosophy is “A Body in Motion Stays in Motion”. To keep your body in motion he focuses on quality patient care with an emphasis on manual and manipulative therapy, Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) in conjunction with exercise and education. Paul has special interests in spinal and shoulder dysfunction as well as sports injuries. Paul has worked with a variety of athletes ranging from those dreaming of one day being an Olympian to Olympians. Paul has taught the fourth year medical students at University of Victoria as well as physiotherapists pursuing their specialization in manual therapy.
