Therapeutic Body Concepts

Tansi, nitisihkason Adeline. I am a Manual Osteopathic Therapist and Registered Massage Therapist from Fort McMurray First Nation. I became a massage therapist in 2018 because I wanted a career where I could make a positive change by helping people continue doing the things that they love, supporting longevity in the process. Over the course of my career, I have been trained in a vast array of modalities. I specialize in deep tissue hot stone massage, myofascial remodeling, and manual lymphatic drainage. Deep tissue hot stone, manual lymphatic drainage, and hot oil scalp massages combine luxury with therapy and are some of my favourite treatments to offer. Within my practice, I prefer incorporating all of my backgrounds to accommodate a customized treatment. Upon request, I can incorporate cups and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) tools. As an athlete, I know firsthand how debilitating injuries can be and how some symptoms never seem to go away. I use my experience from past injuries to help understand where my clients are at and to calculate a sustainable treatment plan. Through my Manual Osteopathic Therapist (MOT) practice, I create balance within the body so that all structures can perform optimally. Under the scope of MOT, I can do osteoarticular adjustments which include joint realignments, visceral manipulation, advanced myofascial remodeling, craniosacral, and advanced lymphatic drainage treatments. Individually, each treatment can be useful; however, when combined into a manual osteopathic treatmen,t all adjustments can be longer-lasting and have a better effect on the body. I look forward to seeing you in my treatment room and formulating a plan to help you get to where you want to be. Please check with your insurance provider that they cover Manual Osteopathic Therapy from practitioners from the Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association prior to booking an initial assessment.

30 Minute Manual Lymphatic Drainage Treatment

MLD involves the use of gentle manual maneuvers to aid in the recirculation of body fluids. While the exact amount of pressure applied depends on the area and pathology involved, it usually equates to very little pressure. Using this technique, trained therapists are able to detect the specific rhythm, direction, depth, and quality of the lymph flow anywhere in the body.
