In 2010 she pursued certification in the Ingham Method of Reflexology at the International Institute of Reflexology in Saint Petersburg, Florida with the renowned nephew of Eunice Ingham, Dwight Byers as her primary teacher. Inspired by the lessons learned from reflexology and a hunger for the study of Anatomy and Physiology, she then pursued a degree in Applied Science from Bristol Community College in 2016. The focus of this degree also included the study of traditional therapeutic massage with Dr. Kimberly Griffith. Advanced manual therapy certifications include myofascial release work, orthopedic and sports massage, pre-natal and postnatal massage with Carol Osborne, as well as Thai Massage with Suriyan Punyafoo in Chiang Mai, Thailand at the Sunshine Massage School. JoHannahs passion for helping individuals on their journey towards natural healing does not stop with massage, reflexology, or essential oils. As a holistic health enthusiast, she holds credentials as a Certified Natural Health Professional, Certified Nutritional Consultant, and a Master Herbalist from Trinity School of Natural Health in Warsaw, Indiana. JoHannah maintains her own private massage practice in Providence, Rhode Island while currently treating at the AC Clinic in Attleboro, MA and NEIH in Cambridge, MA.

When you arrive for your first acupuncture appointment you and your provider will discuss your condition, and your pulse and tongue will be examined, which are two of the basic diagnostic methods of Oriental medicine. The acupuncture points chosen will depend on your condition, but you can expect approximately 20 needles. Once the needles are inserted, you are left to lie comfortably for 15-20 minute increments with the needles in place. Many people find acupuncture treatment deeply relaxing, and it is not uncommon for patients to fall asleep during this time. At the end of the treatment, adjunctive therapies may be used, such as gua sha, cupping, or tui na.
