I have found that the greatest achievements in health come with thorough patient education and integrative care. As a naturopathic doctor, I focus on providing my patients with the knowledge and tools to reach their goals. I have an evidence-guided, minimalist approach to care and prioritize managing symptoms and building sustained foundations of health. Although I have a clinical interest in hormone health (menstrual, thyroid, metabolic, etc.), gut health, mental health and fertility, I am trained to support patients in a variety of other areas of their health. Modalities I often utilize in my practice include nutrition, supplementation and acupuncture. When I am not seeing patients, you can find me in the kitchen trying to create a new recipe, or doing something active outdoors. Dr. Woods, ND is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, an accredited naturopathic medical school in North York, ON. Prior to becoming to naturopathic doctor, she completed a Bachelor of Life Sciences at McMaster University, which set the foundation for her love of science and health. She is currently licensed and in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, and a member of both the CAND and OAND.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture appointments are for current patients of the Naturopathic Doctor who has been recommended acupuncture as part of the treatment plan. These appointments include a brief (5-10 minutes) follow up/assessment, follow by an acupuncture treatment. Please not that you must complete a Naturopathic Initial Consultation before booking an acupuncture assessment. Conditions that our Naturopathic Doctor can address with acupuncture include: anxiety, insomnia, menstrual irregular cycles, anovulation, pain, etc.), OMS, infertility, IVF pre-and post-transfer, labour preparation, headache, GI upset (nausea, indigestion, GERD, diarrhea, constipation, etc.,) TMJ and smoking cessation.
Naturopath
During your initial consultation, we will discuss your current health concerns, your health history and your goals. This appointment may also include physical examinations, ordering assessments and/or initiating a treatment plan. Please bring a list of all current supplements and medications.
