Restorative Sports Therapy O/A Restorative Whole Health
322113 15St. E, Foothills, AB, T1S1A2
Lauren’s interest in Physiotherapy peaked from trying to find a balance for her love of kids, love of sports, and love of science; her dream was to find a career that would incorporate all of these aspects while challenging her every day. She completed a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education majoring in Physical Literacy at Mount Royal University before attending the University of Alberta for her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Lauren has a diverse background in sports having competed in Hockey, Soccer, Track and Field, and Volleyball. She has also worked as a volleyball coach for beginner youth and club levels throughout her schooling. Beyond sports Lauren is an adventure seeker enjoying anything the outdoors have to offer; outside of the clinic you will find her (and her dog) out hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, skiing, and horseback riding. In general Lauren’s approach places an emphasis on hands on treatment and exercises to help her patients help themselves. She believes that the key to a successful recovery, and an all-around healthy lifestyle, is having patients be a key part in leading their own journey. She strives to create an open and welcoming environment for each of her patients while ensuring that they leave having a better understanding of their body than when they walked in. Lauren also has a special interest in the field of pediatric physical therapy where her focus is on play based therapy and promoting a fun environment for kids to grow and develop into their most independent selves.
