Gurdeep completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree in 2005 from the MGM Medical College, DAVV University, Indore, India, and Master of Sports Physiotherapy degree in 2007 from the GNDU University, Amritsar,India. She did her postgraduate research paper on Comparison of Efficacy of Thera-Band, Plyometric and Combination Training on strength of Quadriceps evaluated on Isoinertial Dynamometer. This research paper was published in the Journal of Sports authority of India (2007). She has presented scientific papers at the Annual Conference of Indian Association of Sports Medicine in 2005 and 2006.Since her graduation, she has been practicing Physiotherapy. She is licensed for IMS/Dry Needling treatment and she is presently pursuing Acupuncture. Gurdeep has experience in teaching as well. She was visiting lecturer at MGM Medical College, India, for Yoga Therapy. In 2010, she became a registered Yoga Instructor and Personal Trainer with BCRPA. She has worked as a Yoga instructor at the South Surrey Recreation Center and as a Yoga Instructor on a KVOS TV show. She has been consulted on Red FM a few times as a Physiotherapist, and recently was a speaker on iCON. Gurdeep’s professional attitude involves an integrative approach. Her treatment technique focuses on both assessment and treatment, to maximize functional recovery. She believes the best results can be achieved from a positive approach, and that a positive environment can improve health and quality of life. Gurdeep is an active person. She does yoga every day and various fitness activities to maintain her own positive health and fitness, and she is a proud Vancouver Sun Run finisher.
