Massage Empathy
8888 Odlin Crescent, Unit 1265, Richmond, BC, V6X 3Z8
Anna graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT) with Honor. With her MD degree and MsC (master of science) degree in neuroscience, she always has an interest in healthcare and a fascination with human anatomy, especially in how the body functions and heals itself. She decided to pursue massage therapy in order to help patients on a more individualized, patient-focused level to help them find out the blind spot that’s holding them back. Anna has a passion for sharing her knowledge so others can understand their body better. It’s rewarding to help patients return to activities that give them pleasure in their lives while working around their lifestyle and tolerance. From her time at VCMT, Anna gained experience to treat patients with different pathologies and her approach is to calm the nervous system, and to treat the body as a whole. To achieve this, Anna utilizes various techniques including diaphragmatic breathing, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, active and passive stretching, PNF stretching, scar tissue manipulation, joint mobilizations, muscle energy techniques, hydrotherapy, and home care exercise prescriptions. Life is a marathon not a sprint and Anna wants her patients to know that there is always help.
