A little bit about me: I was born and raised in the lower mainland of BC, and was diagnosed with scoliosis at age nine. I wore a brace for three years until I was told I would require corrective spinal fusion surgery at age 13. After two years on the surgical waitlist, I finally received the operation at age 15. While I remained active and healthy throughout the course of my treatment, I wasn’t ever aware of options for me to actively participate in my treatment. I first discovered TSC while in Physio School – They taught me more about my scoliosis in 1 hour than I had learned in the 13 years since my initial diagnosis. I immediately felt empowered in my ability to understand and care for my own body and health. I wanted to pass this along to others living with spinal conditions, so decided to join the team! In my first 3 years working at The ScoliClinic I have been inspired by the resilience of this community and the positive change they have been able to make in their lives when equipped with the necessary tools. Working with TSC allows me to utilize education, exercise prescription, manual therapy, and dry needling to support others along their journey. What to expect in a session with me: I utilize both my formal training and personal experience to support clients in reaching their goals and independently managing their health & well-being. My practice is largely movement-based, and I develop exercise plans to be unique to each person, their curve/spine, and their personal needs. I consider myself to be energetic yet calm, and you’ll likely receive a lot of encouragement from me as I want to empower you to actively care for yourself. I strive to create an inclusive practice so that each client and their family members feel welcomed, seen, and heard. Your opinions and preferences about your treatment really matter, as your level of emotional comfort and safety are important to me. My work at The ScoliClinic is supported by the following certifications: SEAS Level 1 (Scientific Exercises Approach to Scoliosis), 2025 Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School – Basic Course – November 2020 UBC Master of Physical Therapy, 2020 Orthopedic Divisions – Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Level 1 – June 2020
