Dr. Karen Vaughan earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree graduating with the highest honours Summa Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where she served as Chair of the National Student Canadian Chiropractic Association. Prior to this, she graduated with honours from the University of the Fraser Valley with a Bachelor of Kinesiology. During her undergraduate studies, Karen had the opportunity to travel to Antigua and Barbuda, where she taught physical education to elementary school students with physical and mental disabilities. This experience sparked her strong interest in pediatric care. She also gained hands-on experience working on the sidelines of various sports teams, including varsity rugby sevens, baseball, and junior hockey. Amongst continuing education like treatments for TMJ dysfunction, coccydynia and infants, Karen is Webster Technique certified to better treat her pregnant patients. Karen is passionate about evidence-based care and believes in empowering patients through education so they can be active advocates for their own health. Outside of the clinic, Karen enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, skiing, and playing sports with her partner Riley, often accompanied by their dogs, Smiley and Bailey.
