Zwannie graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy. After graduation she has worked in various public and private settings including a specialized orthopaedic surgical center. During this time, Zwannie has gained significant experience in foot and ankle physiotherapy while working collaboratively alongside an integrated orthopaedic team. Zwannie has an interest in treating all types of orthopaedic injuries and has gone on to complete advanced training in orthopaedic assessment and treatment techniques. Zwannie has proudly obtained her Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy, becoming a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). Zwannie also has a special interest in pelvic floor therapy. Being a mom of two little ones herself, she understands some of the challenges one may experience. She is passionate about preparing, empowering, and instilling confidence in order to enhance the pregnancy/postpartum journey for others. Her approach to physiotherapy incorporates manual therapy, patient education, and exercise prescription in order to correct and optimize biomechanics to prevent re-injury. She believes in providing tools for self-management and highly values a multi- disciplinary approach to rehabilitation in order to maximize quality of life. Zwannie has additional training in Functional Dry Needling (IMS), Manual Therapy, and Pelvic Health Rehabilitation. In addition, she is also currently teaching at the UBC Physiotherapy Department assisting with clinical skill labs, and she is also involved with clinical mentorship with physiotherapists at a post-graduate level. In her spare time Zwannie loves spending time with her family, taking day trip adventures, and ending the day with a good TV show.

This option is for a first appointment or for existing clients that require a 60min treatment. This treatment includes taking a history, assessing your joints and musculature, and can include an internal pelvic exam (with patients full consent). You will receive a combination of manual therapy, soft tissue release, education, and exercises specific to your treatment goals. We highly recommend that you book a 30min subsequent treatments 2 weeks after your initial assessment.
