**Tess Woldring, MPT, BKin - Physiotherapist** I came to physiotherapy through movement, with an undergrad in Kinesiology and a Master of Physical Therapy, both from UBC. I've completed Orthopaedic Level 1, and I'm *adding IMS (intramuscular stimulation) to my practice in November 2026.* **Treating the Person, Not the Condition:** I see a wide range of people and I'm open to any patient population. I care more about the person in front of me than the diagnosis on the paperwork. Instead of looking only at which tissue is injured, I look at how your body, your history, and your nervous system fit together. I'm drawn to complex cases where several things seem connected, sports injuries, hypermobility, and nerve tension. I also have a particular interest in foot and ankle conditions, including plantar fasciitis, heel pain, ankle sprains, Achilles tendinopathy, and flat feet. **Meeting You Where You Are:** Everyone who comes to physio arrives with a different background and a different history of care. Some people have seen five practitioners before me, and some are starting fresh. I start from wherever you are. **A lot of my recent work has focused on the nervous system:** Helping you regulate, and staying regulated myself, so the treatment room feels safe enough for your body to settle and recover. I've also spent focused time in mentorship with a physiotherapist who has 20 years of experience and holds the FCAMPT designation, Canada's advanced credential in orthopaedic manual therapy. **Sports, Strength, and Life Outside the Clinic:** I play rugby for Burnaby Lake Rugby Club and have a solid strength training background, so I know what it takes to get back to your sport or the gym, and how frustrating it is when your body won't cooperate. Off the pitch, I bake and listen to history podcasts. **Education:** Master of Physical Therapy, UBC Bachelor of Kinesiology, UBC **Additional Training:** Orthopaedic Level 1 IMS Dry Needling (completing November 2026) **Tess works:** **Monday:** 1-8pm **Tuesday:** 12-6pm **Wednesday:** 7-2pm **Thursday:** 12-6pm
