Myra's journey as a body and energy worker began back in 2014 when she was certified in Reiki energy work. As she worked with clients at her private practice in NW Portland and in home visits she developed a desire to know more about the human body. Ultimately, this lead to her becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist in October of 2017. Through her time learning massage therapy at East West College of Healing Arts Myra learned modalities of Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Prenatal massage. She also studied and is influenced by both Thai massage and Tui Na (Chinese massage), cupping and guasha. Through her experience working in a spa setting she also enjoys incorporating essential oils and hot towels into her massage work. She founded Evolution Healing Arts in May of 2018 with the dream of establishing a thriving healing arts practice that included a variety of holistic services, not massage alone. Since that time she has enjoyed working with a loyal client base to educate and empower them, while providing a safe space and helping facilitate powerful change, relaxation and rejuvenation. Consent and communication are one of the keystones of her work. When she's not in the clinic, Myra enjoys hiking, camping/backpacking, reading, cooking, time with friends, singing and cuddling her pup, Alma. She is an LGBTQIA+ ally and welcomes all body types!
