Lucy graduated from the Vancouver Career College Registered Massage Therapy program in 2021 and has experience working to alleviate pathological conditions, such as whiplash, frozen shoulder, lower back pain, lateral and medial epicondylitis, ITB syndrome and plantar fasciitis. Lucy’s background in anatomy and physiology intersects with her massage therapy knowledge. Before immigrating to Canada, Lucy worked as a clinical nurse for 20 years, where she served as a head nurse for nearly a decade. From 2010-2019, Lucy worked at two Traditional Chinese Clinics, which led her to pursue RMT formally at VaCC. Based on an individual’s needs, Lucy utilizes a variety of techniques throughout the massage such as Swedish massage, Myofascial and Trigger Point Release, Active Release, Hydrotherapy, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) techniques, and Joint Mobilizations. Her approach to care includes listening, planning therapy and providing an appropriate education at homecare according to each client’s needs. Eventually, Lucy’s goal is to facilitate healing in order to help clients achieve their desired lifestyle. In her spare time, Lucy enjoys cooking, baking, and reading books. She loves travelling with her family and friends.
