Rachel Gonsalves, PT, DPT, brings over 25 years of clinical expertise to the MaxPerformGO team, with a dedicated focus on pelvic health and orthopedics for nearly two decades. Originally from Chicago, Rachel moved to Boston to begin her professional journey, earning her master’s degree from Simmons University before going on to achieve her doctoral degree from the University of Montana. Her extensive career includes 18 years specializing in pelvic health across various private practices and medical clinics, including the last decade serving the local community at a large hospital system. As a pelvic health specialist, Rachel treats individuals of all genders, fostering an inclusive environment where every patient feels heard and supported. In her role as a concierge therapist, she provides expert care for a wide range of complex conditions, including pelvic pain (interstitial cystitis, endometriosis, tailbone pain, and painful sex), urinary/bowel issues (overactive bladder, incontinence, and defecation dysfunction), pelvic organ prolapse, pregnancy/postpartum recovery (abdominal separation and pain), post-surgical rehab and men’s pelvic health (post-prostatectomy, cancer recovery). Rachel is a firm believer in the power of exercise, advocating that staying strong and mobile is vital to navigating life’s changes and aging with resilience. Her practice is built on a trauma-informed, holistic, and evidence-based approach. She prioritizes a patient-centered "team first" philosophy, ensuring care moves at her patients' pace to meet their unique goals. To further support her patients, she holds specialized certifications in pelvic health sexual counseling and is a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. Outside of the clinic, Rachel enjoys traveling and exploring new cuisines with her husband and two children. To stay active herself, she enjoys weightlifting, walking the family dog, and is always open to trying out new hobbies.
