Bio Marissa is a physiotherapist with a strong academic background, earning her Master of Physiotherapy from McMaster University, a Master of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor of Medical Science from Western University. Her passion for physiotherapy stems from over a decade of competitive dance, giving her a unique understanding of movement and recovery. Marissa is committed to creating personalized treatment plans that combine exercise, education, and hands-on care, tailored to each client’s goals. She has a special interest in women’s health and pelvic floor physiotherapy, with a focus on pregnancy, postpartum care, and supporting clients through all stages of life. She is particularly passionate about active, movement-based rehabilitation and strives to empower clients to feel confident and capable in their bodies through evidence-based care. Outside of the clinic, Marissa enjoys cooking, photography, Pilates, and yoga. She values quality time with her friends and family, and loves spending time outdoors, whether hiking, skiing, or traveling.
