Alishah graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Health Science degree. She continued on to receive a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from McMaster University in 2007, and returned to school to complete a Masters of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy from the University of Western Ontario to become a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT) in 2010 . In addition to her University education, Alishah has taken many post graduate courses in order to stay up to date with the latest evidence and provide the highest level of care to her patients . She has completed coursework in Acupuncture, Gunn IMS, Integrated Systems Model (ISM), Stott Pilates, prevention & treatment of running injuries, shoulder rehabilitation, tendon injury management, functional strengthening, kinesio taping, mobilization with movements, and advanced manual therapy. Alishah enjoys treating all conditions and finds complex conditions particularly interesting. She has almost 20 years of experience successfully treating clients with a wide range of issues including sports injuries to chronic persistent injuries, and postural dysfunctions. In her previous practice in Toronto, Alishah would primarily treat patients who had unsuccessful treatments in the past and she is proud to have been able to help these patients move forward with success under her care. Alishah listens closely to her client’s needs in order to develop an individualized treatment plan that is evidence and experience informed. Alishah is an active member of her profession. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) and was awarded a Centenary Medal of Distinction . She is also an active member and mentor of the CPA’s Orthopaedic Division, providing mentorship to physiotherapists pursuing their advanced manual therapy designation. When in Toronto, she was a clinical facilitator with the University of Toronto Physical Therapy Department, training new graduates of the program in advanced orthopaedics. Outside of work life, Alishah enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, yoga and working out and she is a self-proclaimed foodie. She keeps busy with her three young kids and loves staying active with her family.
