Jay received his Diploma in Acupuncture at the Tzu Chi International College of TCM. He then completed an internship at an integrated hospital in Korea through Kyung Hee University, gaining experience in a healthcare environment that combines Traditional Korean Medicine with conventional medical approaches. He has further expanded his clinical skills through additional training in the IMEAST protocol of electro-acupuncture, Tung-style acupuncture, and others. Jay specializes in musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, and nervous system regulation. His clinical approach focuses on bridging the traditional foundations of East Asian Medicine with modern evidence-informed care based on anatomy, physiology, and an understanding of the human body. Jay’s interest in acupuncture was shaped by his own experience with pain and chronic issues as an office worker. He understands how physical discomfort, stress, and lifestyle demands can impact daily life, allowing him to provide a compassionate and personalized approach to each patient. He is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life through individualized treatments that combine traditional acupuncture techniques with modern understanding of pain, movement, and physiology. Outside of work, Jay likes to cycle around Vancouver’s scenic parks and trails. Languages spoken: English, Korean
